Salsa Dancing on the North Shore of Kauai - Hawaii

Published on June 13, 2018 by Rae-Marie May

Update (September 2018) - This event is no longer being held at Anaina Hou, but there are plenty of other places to dance salsa on the island.  Email or check out the Facebook group Latin Dancer's Kauai.

Now is the time - you are on vacation after all - to learn how to salsa dance on Kauai. Salsa Night, under Anaina Hou’s beautifully renovated covered patio, will lift your spirits and get your body moving. You may learn to dance salsa and/or bachata from great teachers, or just watch dance routines performed by a friendly group of seasoned dancers, our own Kauai Salsa Ohana, on the portable dance floor.

Salsa Night is every Thursday night from 5:00 to 8:30. There are fresh fruit sangria specials and delicious tapas prepared by Chef Joseph for purchase. Dancing starts at 7:00. The best part is that it is FREE, so what do you have to lose? Go by yourself or with a partner - all ages and experience levels are welcome.

Anaina Hou Community Park is located in Kilauea on the beautiful North Shore of Kauai. It is next to the Kilauea Mini Golf, less than ten minutes from Honu Point.

Meet The Author
My husband and I fell in love with Hawaii in the early eighties when we made our first trip from San Diego to the islands. In 2000 we chose Kauai as our home. We love the small town feel, great weather and beauty. We couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
