Rip Currents at Panama City Beach

Published on June 21, 2017 by Romanticbeachcondo

Notice the break in the waves, that is what a rip current looks like. If you’re caught in one, swim to the left or right to exit the break or do the dead-man’s float until you are free of the break.

Because of the storms in the Gulf today, there are extremely high waves with lots of rip currents. Don’t ruin your vacation by going into the water when there are double red flags. Your life or the life of someone trying to save you is not worth a swim. If you see someone caught in a rip current, don’t try to save them, call 911. There are trained professionals who know the proper way to save someone.

Enjoy the power and beauty of God’s creation from afar when there are double red flags; the life you save may be your own.

Meet The Author
We bought our condo at Pinnacle Port in Panama City Beach, Florida in November 2003 and I retired in January of 2004 so that I could spend time studying about owning condos and sharing with guests. I took over the rental and marketing of our condo in 2006 and have enjoyed it ever since. We wanted others to enjoy our condo and be able to experience the beauty of God's creation when the sun awakes in the mornings and sinks behind the horizon in the evenings. Panama City Beach's white sugar sand is beyond most people's imagination unless they have been there and observed it.
