Property Description

Montmartre is an authentically Parisian paradise where locals stroll cobblestone streets with fresh groceries and duck into their favorite cafes, and where you can enjoy gourmet dining, sacred architecture, artisan boulangeries, and raucous cabarets.

And, in the midst of this, find Le Trésor de Montmartre.

Our two-bedroom vacation rental apartment puts you within walking distance of most of Montmartre, and features soft, watercolor hues, natural light, lovely cross-breezes, and the warm glow of chandeliers.

The apartment’s 19th century charm is preserved by authentic crown molding, French doors, and two original, ceramic ornamental fireplaces. Meanwhile, upgrades like a sleek new kitchen and an uncommonly large bathroom provide modern advantages. We even have an elevator for hauling luggage and groceries, and the building is outfitted with a high-tech security system.

Main Living Area
The open living area invites you to gather with your family for a long conversation near floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the streets of Montmartre.

Or share a meal at the glass dining table with Philippe Starck-designed seating for four. An adjacent minimalist kitchen provides a four-burner flat top stove, a refrigerator, and a microwave/oven combination. There’s a French press, too!

After a long day of exploring, settle in front of the flatscreen with a DVD from our library.

Through a set of shaded French doors is the office space, which also doubles as an extra bedroom, thanks to the sofa that converts to a queen-sized bed (its comfort is a pleasant surprise!). We provide WiFi and long distance telephone calls. The printer is also yours to use and is stocked with paper.

Master Bedroom & Luxury Bath
The master bedroom, also entered through shaded French doors, calls to you at the end of the day.

The queen-sized bed is fitted with soft sheets and a pile of downy pillows. A large window opens to the quiet, cobblestone street and a traditional Montmartre stairway. When you want to block out the outside world for a bit after a long flight (or a bit too much wine?), heavy curtains over the windows make all the difference.

The bathroom is quite large by Parisian standards and outfitted with all the best amenities, like a rainfall showerhead, a deep soaker tub, and a vanity with plenty of space for toiletries. Sink into a long, hot bath with Montmartre bustling below. Enjoy a glass of wine, and afterward, wrap up in an ultra-plush towel warmed on the heated towel rack.

The Setting
Located on a quiet side street, Le Trésor de Montmartre is just a two-minute walk from the cafes, restaurants, grocers, cheese shops, bakeries, and butchers that together create that feeling…the one that belongs to Paris alone.

Begin your morning with coffee and croissants from the patisserie down the street. Later, enjoy a quiet dinner party with your friends as you sip wine and sample cheese. For more far-flung exploring, the metro or bus are just a few minutes away on foot.

Le Trésor de Montmartre is a true gem in central Paris.

Hello! We are Ralph and Karen, an Anglo-American couple who fell in love with Paris and France over 20 years ago. Work-related trips brought us here, but we kept coming back for holidays, then extended visits, and then… In 2005, we decided nothing was stopping us from buying a place of our own in Paris. Lots of research, learning, and many kilometers of sneaker-rubber later, we put our house in the United States on the market. It sold in 10 days, and we found our apartment in Montmartre two months later. After a massive, year-long renovation project and its many challenges, we hit our biggest bump yet. As it turned out, we had to stay based in the US after all. Our lovingly remodeled apartment in Paris became a place where we returned only for short visits. In 2008, we started renting to guests—travelers like we once were (we always preferred apartments over expensive, cramped hotels). And the rest, as they say, is history. Le Trésor de Montmartre has proved quite popular, to the extent that we have trouble finding a break in the booking calendar to stay there ourselves! In the midst of this, we found Nice. After several holidays in and around Nice, we thought, why not buy a pied-à-terre in the area? Despite the challenges involved in renovating from afar—which we knew very well at that point—we jumped in again in late 2010. After another renovation, another year, and hundreds more gray hairs between us, we added Le Trésor de Nice to our rental portfolio. A year so so later we picked up 3 other apartment to manage. We hope you find the properties inviting, and hope even more that you will come see them for yourselves! Please get in touch with questions, or to book your stay at one of our apartments. We’d be happy to share our insider knowledge of these places we love so much.
