Pier Fishing under the two causeway bridges

Pier fishing is easy and convenient in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The two causeway bridges have fishing piers complete with parks and amenities. You can walk or bike to them from the beachfront, or of course drive there easily.

Buena Vista Park

Buena Vista Park is a scenic stop just off the east side of the north causeway bridge. Visitors have the choice of fishing on one of two piers. The biggest pier extends about 250 ft. into the Indian River and corners under the bridge, and the smallest extends about 100 ft. Fish can range from bait fish to big game fish. Other available amenities include a playground, walking path and restrooms. Buena Vista Park is also dog friendly. Pets must be leashed, and owners are asked to pick up after their animals. Riverside Park

Riverside Park is a beautiful eight-acre park is located on the east side of the south causeway. The park includes walking paths, restroom facilities, and the Manatee All Children's Playground. The outdoor gazebo is located here and fishing is popular along the boardwalk and fishing pier. The park is the site of many community events including art festivals and the summer concert series, Open daily from sunrise to sunset.

When our grand children come of a visit we always take them to this park. It is newly renovated with all new play ground equipment. They have restrooms right there as well.
