Movie Night at Anaina Hou - Kilauea - Kauai - Hawaii
It is going to be a fun night this Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at the Anaina Hou Porter Pavilion. Two movies will be projected onto the big screen: Incredibles 2 and Crazy Rich Asians! The best part is that Movie Night is FREE!
The Anaina Hou Porter Pavilion is behind the Mini Golf just outside of Kilauea, a very short drive from Honu Point Vacation Rental. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Dinner and drinks are available for purchase. Go early for good seats: there is limited seating in the Pavilion. Overflow is on the lawn. Due to the liquor license, no outside food or beverage is allowed, including water bottles.
If you are willing to set up or break down chairs, come anytime on movie day, 10:00 to noon OR at 4:00 PM to set up, and help after the last movie. As a volunteer, you get first pick of the seats and free popcorn. To volunteer, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Movie Night Movies:
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
Crazy Rich Asians
Rachel Chu is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend, Nick, to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. She's also surprised to learn that Nick's family is extremely wealthy and he's considered one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse -- Nick's disapproving mother.
So, go to one movie or go to both. Either way you are sure to have a good time.
Anaina Hou is a nonprofit and relies on volunteers to enhance services to the community. Check out the new playground and Farmers' Markets on Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon and Saturday morning.
