Gothic Cathedral in Coutances
A Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral constructed from 1210 to 1274 that incorporates the remains of an earlier Norman cathedral. Although much of Coutances was damaged during World War II, the building escaped relatively unscathed. Rising majestically above the town, it can be seen as far away as Jersey.
Entry is free and it is open every day from 9am until 7pm (6pm in winter). Further details can be found at http://cathedralecoutances.free.fr/
