Add Blackbeard's Inn to your List of Favorite Restaurants in New Smyrna Beach
Blackbeard's Inn is one of those local gems you just love to discover when traveling out of town. It was recommended to me by a local, and is now on my list of go - to restaurants in New Smyrna Beach.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.
The decor is, well, a pirate ship, but the food is outstanding - from the best prime rib I have ever had (and cooked to perfection) to the fresh fish catch of the day, to the home made rolls and cinnamon buns and the perfect southern sweet tea.
You know the sweet tea is gonna be good when it is served in mason jars!
While I don't eat oysters, Blackbeard's is also well know for their delicious
YOU enjoy them for me!
Locally owned and in business for 30 years.
Harry and Mary Kinzey, along with their son Randy and his wife Peggy opened the doors to Blackbeard’s Inn Restaurant & Lounge in June of 1980 with a “make it or break it attitude.” It took working 18 hour days, constant effort, and a lot of sacrifices to get the restaurant running smoothly and off the ground." For over 30 years they have been serving the finest steak and seafood in Central Florida.
"Through the years, most restaurants have left out soup and salad bars because of the added expense, but ours has remained a staple throughout our history. Fresh soup, salads and sauces are made from scratch daily. Our mouth watering entrees include seafood from local docks, fresh cut steaks and slow cooked prime rib. The Raw Bar, which serves fresh shucked oysters and clams was one of the first in the area."
"Our key ingredients to success have always been to serve fresh food and provide great service at reasonable prices. Located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, our commitment to service and quality has led to countless loyal customers from our small town, to all across the country. Over the years our goal has always been to treat our customers, along with our staff, as extended family. We pride ourselves on the fact that many of our employees have been with us
for over 20 years."
Now Randy and Peggy Kinzey, along with the next generation, their son Jason, look forward to the next 30 years with hopes of seeing the business grow and maintaining the quality it was originally founded on.
