A Little Bit Of History At Hampton Beach

Published on January 30, 2018 by Lubohn

If history is your thing then a trip to the Tuck Museum in Hampton should be on your list of to do's.

Tuck Museum North beach vacation

The Tuck Museum of Hampton History is the home of the Hampton Historical Society.  It consists of a number of buildings, monuments, and artifacts, all located on Park Avenue in Hampton

Known since 1994 as the Hampton Historical Society, the society was incorporated in 1925 as the Meeting House Green Memorial Association to honor the original settlers of Hampton. A descendant of one of those families, Edward Tuck, generously donated funds to purchase a house on the site of the original meeting house green. The land surrounding the house was laid out as a park, and the house was turned into a small museum, which was appropriately named the Tuck.

The museum has continued to grow. Other buildings on the Green have joined the main house as exhibition areas. There is a nineteenth-century school house, an eighteenth-century barn, a fire-fightning museum, and a Hampton Beach tourist cottage.

Welcome to our family-friendly beach house on North Beach, Hampton Beach NH. We are so happy that you found us and look forward to welcoming you soon to our vacation home. Our family has owned property in the Hampton Beach, New Hampshire coastal area for over four decades, so when we found a lovely beach house in an exquisite location, we decided to keep the family tradition going. Being beach lovers, it was important for us to choose a situation where we could enjoy beach life to its fullest. And that’s exactly what we do! Our beach location doesn’t get any better, it's absolutely perfect for family vacations. When it came to designing the guest accommodation, it was always our desire to create a holiday home that would be exactly the type of accommodation that we would want to stay in as guests. A place where happy memories could be made. After several years of restoration, we’ve created the summer retreat of our dreams and feel truly blessed to be able to share our home! We admit we’re creatures of comfort and so it was important for us to establish a vacation home that would offer the good things in life; those that make a holiday special: comfortable accommodation, equipped with modern conveniences and excellent accessibility. We feel so honored when guests choose our beach house for their vacation. We work hard to ensure every guest stay is just perfect, your home away from home. Please click the Details & Booking button below to book your family vacation at The Beach House. You can call us anytime, we are so happy to answer any questions you may have.
